ELEVEN AND ENGAGED
"Eleven and Engaged" is a persuasion piece that ran during the 2017-2018 competitive speech season. In the persuasion category, competitors are expected to research, write and memorize a speech meant to persuade an audience to act on a certain topic. This piece focused on dissecting the intricacies behind legal loopholes allowing child marriage in the US.

During this competitive season, "Eleven and Engaged" saw immense success, breaking finals at every competition that year. At the Pi Kappa Delta national speech tournament, the piece broke quarterfinals (top 25 in the nation).

In addition, the speech will be published in the 14th edition of Understanding Human Communication, published by Oxford University Press, this coming year.
The Model Minority
"The Model Minority" is an after dinner speaking piece that ran during the 2017-2018 competitive speech season. In this category, competitors are expected to research, write and memorize a comedic speech meant to educate or persuade an audience on a topic. This piece focused on dissecting the myth of the Asian American model minority.

During this competitive season, "The Model Minority" was very successful, breaking into finals at nearly every tournament.
The speech broke into finals at the state level, falling within the top six ADS speeches in the state of Indiana.
